Medium Aglaonema 'silverado'
Commonly known as the Silverado Chinese Evergreen, this low-maintenance plant is becoming more and more popular in the houseplant community. Native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and New Guinea, they love the humidity. The leaves are broad, with silver-green variegation in the middle and dark green edges. They love most lighting and, so long as they're in a pot with proper drainage, they are incredibly easy to take care of and propagate.
AGLAONEMA SILVERADO CARE
LIGHT
Like other Aglaonemas, the Silverado prefers medium, indirect light. They'll thrive in a room with bright light and away from the direct sun rays and have also been known to do well in slightly lower light conditions.
WATER
Thoroughly water your plant when you can feel that the top 2-3" of soil is dry. This is a tropical plant, so it will need high humidity - use a humidifier, a pebble tray, or mist the plant daily.
GROWTH HABITS
This plant can grow to about 3′ feet high with an equal spread when kept as a potted plant. This plant is toxic if ingested and may cause skin irritation. Keep away from pets and small children. Propagation is easy: take a look at the root systems and separate the plants with their own network of roots and repot those babies!
