Medium Geogenanthus 'ciliatus'
Large, blackish-purple dinner plate leaves burst from the Geogenanthus ciliatus, providing a break from the sea of green we normally see with houseplants. They are easy to care for, happy in low light, and will reward you with beautifully dark foliage in the right conditions.
GEOGENANTHUS CILIATUS CARE
LIGHT
Native to Ecuador and Peru, where it spends its days at the grounds of the rainforest catching the leftover bits of sunshine that make it through the canopy. This means the Geogenanthus is fairly forgiving of low light conditions.
WATER
The Geogenanthus can be kind of dramatic, similar to the attitude you'll see in peace lilies. This is helpful in determining a successful watering schedule. When you see the leaves begin to droop, water thoroughly enough to see water draining from the bottom of the pot.
GROWTH HABITS
Provide this plant with plenty of humidity and evenly moist soil, and the Geogenanthus can grow up to 8" tall and wide!
palm-sized circular dark purple leaf, color almost like the rubber plant as we all know it, but not quite the same.

Other than that, Gregory supposedly just needs a little balanced fertilizer during the spring and of course it loves the humidity!
