Statement pieces for the expert
Every big room deserves a big plant! These plants are a little more high maitanance, but are worth the extra effort. Margniatas love a bright light and their twisted, gnarled growth pattern brings an eccentric energy to any space. Calamondins produce very bitter, but still edible, fruits from tiny, wonderfully fragrant, white flowers. Crassula jades take a long time to get so large, but are an awesome plant to try bonsai with or just to leave and let live!
Filler plants for the fuller collection
What do you get someone who already has a bunch of plants? More plants! These guys are great to use as a filler - something to add to the room or orverall plant collection without taking too much of the attention. Hanging plants like the Staghorn can help bring the eye upwards, extenting your plant collectoion but physically and visually! Compacta canes add a fun burst of green at the top of their stalks, so be sure to place them where you only need a few pops of green. Palms, especially the Cat palm, give plant collections an even more lush and full vibe!
Easy plants for beginners
There's nothing better than a plant you don't have to worry about! Easy-care plants can handle a forgotten watering, different levels of sun, and they don't mind a touch of neglect. Schefflera Amates have an effortless vibe, with their huge leaves and lush greenery, nothing can bother these plants! A peruvian cactus is perfect for those who just do not want to bother....but also want some plants. You can never go wrong with a cactus! Selloum Philodendrons show off their crinkly finger-like folaige, while also sporting the stereotypically low-maitenance requirements of a typical Philodendron.
Everyone's holiday favorites
We'd be crazy if we left these off our holiday gift guide! Your mom or your aunt will love the easy-to-care-for christmas cactus and it's seasonal blooms. The tight growth pattern of the Cypress tree is bound to bring regal holiday energy to your space, so you can add a quick and easy holiday vibe without going over the top. The precious little Winterberry plant is a fantastic little addition to any mantle or tabletop thats just begging for a little pop of color!
